1. Visualize

1. After opening the app, it will bring you to the main page called Project Management. This page contains all of your projects to view, edit, and create new projects.
2. The button to the right of the (+) folder contains a tutorial of how to set up your collage.3. Start importing pictures from your Camera Roll and drag them to different locations to create a collage look. Objects and text boxes can also be integrated into the projects fro descriptions and definitions. When integrating these objects, there are options on the bottom of the screen. Click on the menu that you want. If you want to change anything about your image, object, or text box, click on that object and a small text box will appear with up to 6 options to change the visual representation of that object. If you want to delete a previous object, click on it and drag it to the trash button in the right corner.4. Don't forget to save your work to the Camera Roll or e-mail it to yourself!

2. Strip Design

1. After opening the app, a screen appears that contains the option to Create a New Project. If you have already started a comic, then you may view or edit your comic on that page. When you tap create, you will have several options to choose from in Select Category. If you are using pictures, you want to use the first four options. If using video, choose the fifth option. If you want to start from scratch, choose the last option.
2. Next, you have the option to choose a template. Choose the one most appropriate for the amount of picture/videos you will be using.3. Finally you are ready to create your comic. On the final page, pictures are imported and you can add balloons, stickers, and effect texts. These options can be found at the bottom of the page on the left. You can also use the Pan/Zoom option to zoom into a picture or text.4. To go back to the home page, click on the box that says My Comics on the top left. You now have the option to visit another comic or create a new one.5. Don't forget to save your work to the Camera Roll or e-mail it to yourself!

3. Pic Collage

How to use it: The application is used to create a collage of multiple pictures, texts, and objects.

1. When opening the application, you start on a blank page that gives you the option to add a photo, choose your frame/background, or go back to the main screen. On this page, you can upload pictures using the camera, photos saves to the Camera Roll, or photos from the web. You can also add text or stickers.
2. When uploading pictures, you can either place them in the boxes provided by the frame or place them anywhere (either on top of a picture or behind a picture). When placing it in the frame, hold the picture near the frame and tap one time. The picture will be held in place.3. After your pictures are uploaded, you can add a text box or stickers from the bottom (+) sign. These objects can be moved to any place on your collage.4. When finished with your collage, click the arrow on the bottom right. This will give you the option to share to a social network, save to the Camera Roll or send it as an e-mail.

4. iMovie

Cost: $4.99, Updated: February 13, 2013, Size: 496 MB, Requirements: IPhone 4, 4S, 5, IPad, IPad mini, iOS 6.0 or later.How to use: This application is used to create an HD movie with video or pictures.
1. After opening the app, the iMovie screen will appear. On the bottom of the screen, you have several options to choose from. On the left, you can ask questions or get help from the app. In the middle, you can create a New Project by tapping the (+), play a movie, share a movie, or copy from iTunes. A trash can is provided on the bottom right to delete an iMovie. 2. When creating a movie, click on (+). A menu will pop up with the choice to create a new project or a new trailer. 3. The next screen allows the option to insert your media or record from camera. To select media from your Camera Roll, tap the clip and an arrow should appear. Tap the arrow and your clip will jump down to the timeline.4. To trim a clip, select the clip so it is outlined in yellow with yellow circles on the top left and right. To trim your clip, tap a yellow circle and drag it it to your desired clip length. It you want to cut your clip, position the red line where you want to cut it and swipe directly down. 5. To edit the transitions between clips, double tap the inverted triangle symbol.6. You can also add background music to your movie by selecting the music symbol. You can control the volume of your music by double tapping the music portion of the clip (it should be green). 7. The undo/redo button is located at the top right.8. The button to the right of the undo/redo button allows you to change the Theme, Music, or Fade In/Out.9. To save your movie, return to the iMovie home screen and select the share menu. You can save your movie to the Camera Roll and then upload it to your Google Drive or e-mail it to yourself from the Camera Roll. Sometimes movies are too large and cannot be e-mailed, so uploading it to your drive may be the best bet.

1. When you open the app, you have 24 filters to choose from. Swipe between the pages to see your options.
2. Once you decide which filter you would like to use, tap it and your camera will open. If you decide you don't want to use this particular filter, tap the fan button in the bottom left corner and you will return to the opening screen.
3. You can toggle between camera and video camera in the bottom right corner.
4. Tap the shutter icon at the bottom when you are ready to take a picture/begin filming.
5. When you are done and ready to save, tap the gear icon at the bottom. It should be set to AutoSave to your Camera Roll.

Cost: $1.99 Updated: November 30, 2012 Requirements: iPhone, iPod, iPad, iOS 4. 3 or laterHow to use: This application allows you to film as if you were using a green screen and insert different types of backgrounds into your movie.
Blue backgrounds work best (try a wall of lockers) or smooth surfaces. You can tap the screen while its filming to try and get a more complete background.
1. When you open the app, you see a small video screen.
2. If you tap the film strip in the top left corner, you can choose from a variety of backgrounds. The Polaroid icon to its right will allow you to choose a picture from your Camera Roll as the background.
3. Tap the red circle to begin filming.
4. Press the Options gear to play your recorded videos, share or delete/manage them.
5. To share your video, press Options and choose your video from the list of any saved videos. Select the Share menu in the top right corner. Export your movie to the gallery (Camera Roll). From there you can upload it to your drive or import it into iMovie to begin editing.

5. Comic Book

1. When you open up the app, you see a typical comic strip with two boxes. 2. To upload a picture into one of the boxes, select the blue button that looks like a stack of Polaroids to access the Camera Roll or you can take a picture directly on the camera by selecting the blue Camera button.3. To add effects to your photos, select the FX menu in the top right corner of each photo. From here you can make your photo into a sketch, manga, etc.4. If you want to change the layout, open up the Create menu at the bottom and select the furthest option on the left.5. From the Create menu you can also add captions. To add a caption, drag it into your picture and then double tap to add text. You can also lengthen the tail of the speech bubble by dragging the red dot. The circle on the bottom left of the speech bubble allows you to change the font and color of your text. The circle on the bottom right allows you to change the shape of your speech bubble.6. You can also add stickers in the Create menu.7. The Settings menu allows you to change the color of the border as well as the default font.8. When you are ready to save your work, open up the Create menu and select the furthest option on the right (Twitter, Facebook, Settings). You can save the image to the Camera Roll and then upload it your GoogleDrive or e-mail it to yourself.

6. Screen Chomp

Cost: Free Updated: November 27, 2012 Requirements: iPad, iOS 5.1 or laterHow to use: This application allows you to create tutorials with your own drawings and audio.

1. When you open the application, select Draw & Record
2. Before you start recording any audio, it might be a good idea to draw some of your graphics or write any words on the screen so you do not have to talk and write at the same time. You can control the weight and color of your pen with the menu in the center. Your eraser is also located here. You can erase all of your work by holding your finger down on the Erase button, which is the second button from the left. Screen Chomp gives you three pages to write, so if you need another page or want to navigate your work, swipe up or down with two fingers.
3. You can also add one picture to each Screen Chomp by selecting the button in the bottom left corner and then choosing your image from the Library/Camera Roll.
4. It is a good idea to have a script of some sort written down before you begin filming.
5. When you are ready to record, tap the red 'rec' button on the right and it will count you down 3, 2, 1.
6. Speak loudly and clearly. You can use the stylus or your finger to bring attention to any drawings by highlighting them or adding on to existing drawings.
7. If you mess up your recording, you have to start over.
8. When you are ready to Share your finished Screen Chomp, stop your recording and select Share in the bottom right corner.
9. After it is done sending, tap the three pieces of paper at the top of your screen and select your Screen Chomp.
10. Share your Screen Chomp by e-mailing the link to yourself.
11. Once you have e-mailed it, log in to your e-mail from a computer and save it to your drive. You will then be able to embed your Screen Chomp to a wiki or add it to YouTube.

1. When you open the application , your Maps will be located on the left. It would be a good idea to preview the Mindmeister for iPad mind map as it provides a really great guide for how to use the app.2. To create a new mind map, select the (+) in the bottom left.3. Add a title to the center of your mind map.4. To add a node that stems from your center title, select the (+) in the top left. Tap above, below, or beside selected nodes to add siblings or children.5. You can control how your nodes branch in the top right corner of the keyboard. You can also change the fill color or add emoticons/check marks.6. If you downsize the keyboard and double tap a node, a context menu appears that allows you to cut, copy, paste, or delete your node. You can also make it float without branches or add an image from this menu.7. The paintbrush icon in the top right corner allows you to control the Style, Icons, and Theme of your mind map. The paperclip icon allows you to write notes, add links, or organize tasks.8. When you are finished with your mind map, select the Info icon in the top right corner of your project. Tap Export and then PDF or PNG. From here you can e-mail the document to yourself.

8. Pocket Booth

1. When you open the application, a Pose screen pops up.
2. You can choose between a single frame or a photo strip that shows all 4 frames at one time.
3. When you are ready to take your pictures, press the START button. 4 photos will be taken when the red light is flashing.
4. In the Settings menu (gear icon) you can control how many pictures are in each strip, any photo effects, how the border looks, how long between each shot, etc. 5. When you are ready to save your strip, select the Settings menu again then Export Strip. This will save your photo to the Camera Roll

9. DrawCast

Cost: Free Updated: May 13, 2013 Requirements: iPhone, iPod, iPad, iOS 5.0 or laterHow to use: This application allows you to draw, blend, import photos, and add layers to create an awesome drawing.

1. When you create a New Project you have the option to choose from a black background, white background, photo from Camera Roll, image taken with camera, or photo from Facebook.
2.After you have chosen your background, you can begin drawing.
3. To control the size and strength of your brush as well as the color, choose the color wheel in the bottom right corner.
4. If you want to blur your drawing, select the water drop.
5. If you want to erase, select the eraser. You can control the size and strength of your eraser as well.
6. To undo your most recent drawing, select the circular arrow in the bottom left corner.
7. If you want to draw on different layers, select the M Polaroid icon at the top.
8. The Setting menu (gear icon) allows you to create a New Project, view Previous Projects, save your project to the Photo Library, and completely reset your canvas.
